Dealers in antique and old maps for over 20 years as a brick & mortar, mom & pop store on Grant Avenue in San Francisco's Northbeach, we now work from our loft/archive in Sonoma. We hope you'll enjoy viewing the extensive and diverse inventory of maps and world views and comfortably purchase one here through our website, with the confidence it is an original item, issued as dated and as described with all items shown IN STOCK. Browse and select by collection below, as one of the 65 categories which represent the actual storage flat files and portfolios in which we archive the inventory here in Sonoma, or by keywords or locations with the Search Bar at the very top of this site. And the Sort By feature allows focused browsing of the vast collection. Double Clicking on images will expand at point of contact.

Our Scanner is much more critical than the human eye, highlighting flaws and imperfections, the result of high DPI and intense back lighting. Condition will be noted and described in accurate detail within each Item Description as merited . All Items are Original to the period dated. All Inquiries welcome. Not to be missed! Our corner in the Gift Shop at the Coit Tower. Located on the top of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco. At the tower we carry a fun selection of reproductions of maps and historic prints and photographs. Original ephemera, postcards and old books. Along with Jim's book, Gold Mountain BIG CITY. And posters, prints, books and original items by local artists and local authors.

Schein & Schein Old Maps were proud participants of The 2019 San Francisco Decorator Showcase!
Marti designed a small hallway in the very large showcase mansion which was fashioned after Versailles Petit Trianon. The design highlighted beautiful French architecture, landscape plans and maps from our collections that related to the house.
